Zoo 2: Animal Park Wiki

Welcome to an updated version of the Zoo 2 guides, we will add higher levels as we progress through the game and collect all the relevant information. Between us we have about 11 zoos ranging from level 13 to level 34.

Beginners Tips[]

There are a few things we wish we'd known when we started! Like how difficult it is to rearrange your zoo when you just keep adding enclosures! Or how gems are like gold dust if you are a free to play player, or how selling prizes or scrapping cards to get enough tickets means you'll always end up scrapping the exact card or item you now need!

Coins

Coins: You'll start with 7500 coins, don't waste them on things you don't need! You'll earn more coins from the entrance and stores you place in your zoo, coins are fairly easy to earn with a little bit of patience. Upgrading the entrance and shops will allow more coins to be earned. Most things in Zoo 2 cost coins, Animals, Enclosures & pen expansions, decorations and Park expansions.

Gems

Gems: You'll start with 3 gems, but you don't need to be spending any yet. Gems are earned in the game through some Level rewards, on daily reward calendars and as a reward for completing certain Quests. You can also purchase gems for real money, there are often discounts and you can get a premium or VIP animal plus the enclosure and enclosure items as a reward for larger gems purchases. Gems are needed for certain animals, decorations and some Park expansions. If you have patience, it is possible to complete the quests without purchasing gems, there are also offers regularly to buy land, shops etc at reduced prices.

Puzzle Pieces: Puzzle pieces are the lifelines that help you buy what you need without having to use gems. You get puzzle pieces from Chests, the prize wheel, Friends level up rewards and some quests. Chests are given away regularly, Friend chests are earned with 10 helping hearts. Puzzle pieces you don't want can be scrapped for tickets to exchange for pieces you need, but be careful what you scrap!

The Tutorial - Level 1-6[]

The first 6 levels follow a tutorial quest, they show you how to clean and look after your zoo and the animals in it. It will also show you your inventory, how to buy and place items, getting visitors and expanding the zoo. You won't need to spend any gems and there is enough money to complete the tasks with a bit of savvy spending. You'll start with 3 grassland enclosures with a rabbit, a goat and a horse. When you're asked to get 8 animals, don't panic and buy loads, you don't need to - you've already got 3 to start with, you'll get another rabbit, a panda and a peacock - my advice is buy a goat at level 2 and a horse at level 3 (Total 8 animals for minimum spend). To get your visitors and start earning money buy the 2 stores as they become available and buy flowers, bushes, trees, benches, lampposts etc, they're cheaper than animals and trust me you'll have more than enough rabbits and goats soon enough! You can find a list of level rewards here. Some quests are only unlocked after completing certain levels or other quests, there is a list of these here.

  • Level 1: Clean the enclosures, feed the animals, place a rabbit and plant 8 flowers.
Mayor

Level 2: Mayors Task - You have 48 hours to get 5 visitors and 8 animals. Don't panic, this is easy to complete.

  • Level 3: Place a grassland enclosure and a panda.
  • Level 4: Place 2 grassland troughs, place 3 sunflowers.

Place plains enclosure, plains trough, 3 plains rocks and 5 pieces of sand path.

  • Level 5: Place 3 stores, 2 toilets, 10 decorations and 5 rubbish bins - if you took our advice earlier, you've already got 2 stores and some decorations ;)

Place plains trough, place giant tortoise.

Neighbor

Grumps' Task - You have 48 hours to get 10 visitors. Don't panic, you'll complete this easily before your 48 hours are up and Grump will give you a piece of land.

  • Level 6: Invite 5 friends (Invite 16 friends, the more active friends, the more friendship chests and every time you or a friend level up you get a gift)

Place 1 forest enclosure, place a chimpanzee, place 2 play trunks. (Don't buy a chimpanzee - you'll get 1 as a reward for getting 5 friends)

Help 10 friends, open 1 friendship chest.

Take 3 screenshots.

Open 3 chests. (Don't buy any chests - you'll get 1 when you place the chimpanzee and get the other 2 from visiting friends).

Level 7 - 12[]

Now your zoo is up and running, it's time to start adding buildings and more animals. They same rules apply, don't spend gems and don't waste your money - you are going to regularly start running out now. Some of these quests may appear at slightly different levels than shown below, it will depend how quickly you complete other tasks and level up.

Zoo villa

Complete an administrative building.

Place sheep, place play hurdle.

  • Mayors Task: Have 12 animal species, enlarge the zoo 5 times, upgrade the entrance. (You probably won't complete this till the end of level 12 when you'll get your 12th animal species, so don't panic and use all your tickets or gems to get a 12th animal - patience is still the key). Upgrading the entrance will cost 20 gems, so you'll have to finally spend some gems.
  • Level 9: The mayor will give you a prize wheel, in the early levels it recharges pretty quickly and is worth spinning for its prizes.

Place plains trough, place red kangaroo (10th species), place play totem

Place 3 grassland watering holes and 1 plains watering hole. (Don't buy a plains watering hole - you'll get 1 for completing your enclosure expansions).

Build 15 enclosure expansions. (Grassland enclosures are cheaper to expand and you'll need the space!)

  • Level 10: Plant 150 flowers, place 50 fences, upgrade 5 shops. (Some of these are probably already partly marked off, take your time, don't panic buy things, lots

of flowers and fences are given as rewards for passing levels - you'll still have to buy some).

Place wild boar, place one forest trough (Don't buy a boar, you'll get one as a reward for breeding a goat in level 12)

Zoo Mastery: Madame Yu will give you mastery tasks, it is usually emptying a certain number of cash registers, watering plants and collecting rubbish. When you reach mastery level 1 you will receive a mastery lantern that allows you to activate 7 days of free Zoo Academy access. Our advice is DON'T activate the Zoo Academy. Madame Yu will continue to give you mastery tasks, keep completing them and when you reach mastery level 14 activate it then so you receive all the 14 levels of bonuses you've earnt for the 7 days.

  • Level 11: Place forest enclosure, place forest trough, place koala. (The koala is expensive, so you may have to wait a day or two before you can buy it).

Place 10 red rubbish bins, sell 5 plain rubbish bins.

Zoo breeding center

Place 2 grassland shelters, breed baby goat. 5 Days.

Both the level 12 tasks are time limited, but if you are playing regularly, they're not too difficult to complete. Remember the breeding centre takes time to build (7 or 8 hours we think), rabbits and goats take 2 hours in the breeding centre and it takes 8 hours between each breeding attempt before the animals or the breeding centre can be used again. Don't waste gems opening up more breeding slots, just play regularly and try to have something breeding all the time!! Don't stop breeding!! You will need level 3 animals and then level 5 animals, rabbits or goats are easiest and cheapest.

Once you manage to breed a baby goat, you'll get a wild boar (12th animal species) and get your second zoo title if you've enlarged the zoo and upgraded the entrance. You should also have a healthy pile of gems, keep them!!
