Decorations play a vital role in Zoo Management. Placing them provides both experience points towards leveling up and popularity points for increasing the number of visitors.

Obtaining

Types

There are 6 categories of zoo decorations provided for purchase & placement; Flowers, Bushes, Trees, Boundaries, Special and Water. These various decorations may cost coins or gems and all have a maximum purchase quantity (most items have slight purchase limit increases as the player levels up and some may have a small purchase limit increase unlocked with gems). Once you join a club, another section of decorations are unlocked for purchase (coins and gems), these are subject to locks based on your Club Member Level.

Regular Decorations are often received as Level Up and completed Quest rewards. Additional ways to obtain them are from; opening Chests and completing related card puzzles (Bonus & reward decorations obtained from these methods do not count against the purchasable limit!). Unique decorations may also be earned through certain Events and Club contests.

Types

All decorations (objects & plants) are functionally similar in three ways:

  1. most do not have to be placed along the pathways!!
  2. they all provide first-placement experience points
  3. removing the decoration will remove the attributed visitor points

➡ The big difference is ongoing maintenance.

Objects

Object decorations such as; Boundaries (Fences), Most 'Special' items = Benches, Lights, Parks, Statues & similar, do not need maintenance and do not provide additional level experience points.

Plants

There are several types; Flowers, Bushes, Trees and 'Special' = rose arbors, arches & trellis.

Plant decorations have two major differences from "objects":

  1. they occasionally wilt and need to be watered to maintain their full visitor points
  2. watering plants gives players additional experience points!
    • Note: At higher levels, there are even some exceptional plants that give 250 experience points when watered!

Watering can be done manually by the player, or by hiring a Gardener.
